Memorial Day Weekend

There are not many cars in the parking garage at work today.  I think we will probably be calling it a day a little early today.  Everyone is all ready for the 3 day weekend... as am I!

Softball!

I watched my daughters softball game for the first time last night!  She had her first game Tuesday night, but I wasn't able to watch since we had class.  In both games she hit the ball well.  I am so proud of her.  This is her first year, and it is coach pitch, so she was a little nervous.  I love softball season!!

Running Group

Today I am running with a running group at work for the first time.  I am a little nervous because even though I have been running for the past couple of years, I have almost always run by myself.  I am a slow runner:)  I warned them in advance and my goal is to speed up, so I think it is going to be good for me.  We will see how this goes!

Pools!!

I am so excited for the pool to open this weekend!  My kids have been asking about the pool now for weeks.  I love the summer and hanging by the pool or at the lake.  I think some day I will have to move to a warmer climate where it is always warm:)

Have any of you seen the aLike app?  My mom has it on her phone.  She took a picture of me to see who I look like...I got Kevin Spacey and Matthew Broderick!  I must look like a man!  So we did my mom and she got Michelle Pfeifer!  Well.... rude:)

Garage Sale!

What a beatiful day for a Garage Sale!  I have only made $19, but I have been enjoying the beatiful weather!

Oklahoma Joes

I had Oklahoma Joes for lunch today.  If you haven't tried it before you should make it a point to get over there!  Their Wednesday special is the Chicken Z-Man sandwhich with fries.  The sandwich has smoked chicken, provolone cheese, onion rings, BBQ sauce, and some other special sauce.  It is delicious!  Also - a secret we have learned is you can order one bone of a rib for $2.50 to go on the side (since a 1/2 slab would be way too much food).

Why Raintree Runner

I named my blog Raintree Runner because I enjoy running around the lake in my neighborhood, Raintree.  This has been a great year for running.  The Winter was mild and the Spring has been especially warm.  Running on a treadmill is so hard, so I really love to run outdoors.  I only run 3 or 4 times per week for about 3.5 miles, and very slow compared to most runners, but I like it anyway:)

Did anyone do the Warrior Dash last weekend?  Any fun stories?

Hello!

I missed class last week, so I have not had the opportunity to meet everyone!  I missed class because my 3 year old son stuck gum up his nose at the babysitters house (where else should he put it when he was done?)!  The urgent care office was awesome and they got it out without freaking him out too much.  Needless to say I told the babysitter he is too young for gum!

I enjoyed reading your blogs last week.  This is a great way to get to know the people in our class!
